Icona Pop‘s “I Love It”, the Charli XCX fronted party anthem has been pretty much synched everywhere from the Jersey Shore spinoff “Snooki & JWoww” to HBO’s Girls, to Glee. Let’s not forget ads, soundtracks and trailers too. But the Icona Pop girls are about to get a whole lot richer because their second full length album, entitled This Is…Icona Pop, hits stores today, and that means there’s a whole new album’s worth of songs to license for party scenes and lighting stuff on fire scenes etc. I’ve gone through the album a couple of times and it’s exactly what you would expect. Super upbeat, super synchable, and sure to keep these two ladies loving life for a long long time.
Also releasing her debut full length album this week, entitled Pure Heroine, is New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde. The singles that she has put out so far are exctremely catchy and also perfectly synchable. I just happened to hear “Royals” in an ad last night. So all signs are pointing to her making it big of liensing deals from this album, and all before her 17th birthday! Here’s a taste of what is to come.
Icona Pop – “All Night”
Lorde – “Royals”
